Whether its a day in Whitby, visiting Blackpool Pleasure Beach or a day to Skegness, we have dates throughout the year to many seaside destinations. Remember your buckets and spades!!!
A quarter of a million seabirds including puffins and the UK’s largest seabird, the gannet, make their home on the ledges of the chalk cliffs during the breeding season (Apr-Oct). There’s a brand new visitor centre telling the story of seabirds along with cliff edge viewing platforms which give spectacular views of the nesting birds and the coastline.
Spend the day in Blackpool, or travel along the coast to the fishing town of Fleetwood where the Transport Fesival Day (Also known as Tram Sunday) is taking place. Over 200 different classic and vintage vehicles including cars, motorbikes, vans, lorries, buses as well as trams are on display along with fairground rides, stalls, performances, entertainment and much more plus Fleetwood to explore.
Our journey takes us for a morning break in the popular market town of Guisborough prior to heading in the footsteps of Captain James Cook over to the Cleveland Coast where we visit Saltburn, home of the world’s oldest water balance cliff lift and Smugglers Museum before heading for Redcar, with time for optional fish and chips by the sea!
Whatever the weather, Britain’s first seaside resort is packed with things to see and do. From golden beaches to traditional seaside amusements, boat filled harbour, castle, plus not forgetting the North Bay attractions.
